Point is, there is no safe control with either disorder. And both are being generated from a similar deeper issue. Do you have a therapist or psychologist you can speak with? If not, I would suggest you talk to one immediately. And treat both at the same time. If you ween off of one, the other will gain strength, and it will just become a cycle of back and forth. you can't barter with them, take them both head on. There are support groups as well that dab in both.
At the moment I am dealing with me ed/self harm, and the fact that while in recovery, I became a compulsive exerciser. Now, I've just channeled everything I had with ed into running. Which, since my heart is rather weak from years of ed, I am learning will be the death of me. The other day I passed out while running and was admitted to the hospital...again. My heart is in dire straights, and I am only 25. It's pretty sad when your doctor tells you "at this rate, you'll be lucky to hit 30."
I hear you on the struggles of finding compromise, but you gotta talk to someone and find the roots of the evils.
It also could put more pressure on you to cut if you try kicking both at the same time.
Are you getting help for the bulemia or are you thinking about it?
I found that once I stopped cutting my anorexia got even worse.
It was a control thing for me, I could control my pain you know?
I think that we have both just substituted one addiction for another.
I'm here and I understand.
