I am feeling so alone in my life long struggle with self harming, triggers, haunting memories, eating disorders and fear. I keep trying to run away from everything, but just when I have conquered an issue more comes up. Each personality has there own issues. I have been harming myself, but nobody knows. I try to look to God, but in the maddness of the moment I avoid Him, because I'm so ashamed of wanting to act out. I just needed to find a way to satisfy my need to contol my feelings. I'm just so tired of lying to everyone, because in all reality I am not ok. Sometimes I just want to go to a state hospital and never leave. Will this nightmare ever end? Do I really want it to end? I have no idea how else to live. This is all I know!

I know how it feels to feel this way and I'm sorry that you have to go through it. But you need to be strong and not lose hope... Because without hope, we have nothing. However bad it seems right now, things WILL get better. You just need to give them a chance. I'm here if you need to talk. Sending big hugs your way!!

Are you talking to a therapist? I have been for years and the one I have now has literally saved me from myself. I haven't cut since 08/2008 because of him. I talked about my sex abuse with him, my family dynamics, my isolation from people and why I do that, my memories, dreams, wanting to get away from it all and just die. He saw me through a couple hospitalizations and helped me find my faith in God again. I can't stress enough how wonderful a psychologist/therapist can be when you have no one to talk to or just don't want to or feel like you are a bother to talk to family. Everything said is private unless you are a threat to yourself or others. That does not mean you cannot talk about suicide though. You can talk about everything. I had tried other therapists before and we didn't "click" but this dr and I hit it off and I cant express enough how much he has helped me. Try talking to someone. If they don't help find someone else. Just remember before you go into therapy that it will be hard and painful AT FIRST but you get past it if you keep trying and believing and you will feel better. Don't give up. I don't know how old you are but I have been dealing with mental illness for over 25 years. I am now 40. So it is never too late. Also, sometimes when I do well I like to tell my psychologist and celebrate my little baby steps in the right direction. They are there for you come rain or shine. Be well.

I do have a wonderful therapist. I guess I think if I'm so tired of me not getting through this so is she. I know it's not true, but I have been dealing with these issues for years and there is always more to come! I guess I'm feeling discouraged.

Hi Jessica - I THINK I understand. I believe for me that I need an inpatient hospital situation too, but I can't afford it. I just completed an IOP and it has helped some, but not a great deal with the acting out behaviors. I wish I could offer some support that might be helpful. Hang in there. They tell me that it can get better:):)
