I know.. sounds like a cheesy ass b rated movie, but hear me out. We dont just wake up one day and think to ourselves "hey, im going to cut today cause hell, i have nothing else to do.." No it's built up through stress, pain, abuse, and most of all... the lack of strength to fight back anymore. I know this feeling all too well, as do we all those who kill a little piece of themselves every time we hurt ourselves.
Through that pain though we can either learn to become stronger, or we can continue on our destructive paths to losing yourself. I have become one of the few who fights everyday to repair the damage done. Given the choice today, I would gladly fight for my life to go back to "normal" I refuse to be ruled by a governing force to which I cannot even see.
I AM IN CONTROL. To everyone who has hurt themselves, let this be your mantra... repeat it 100 times a day...
I AM IN CONTROL. I ALONE AM IN CONTROL.

It's hard not to cut when you are very depressed and just want the pain to go away. Lately my cutting has been worse than other times. What can I do instead of cutting myself to get rid of the pain I feel everyday.

I haven't cut for eleven days now, which is sort of a record for me, and I did this by writing out my pain. I normally cut because people upset me or I get depressed, so instead of cutting I wrote really mean letters to the people I was angry at and then sometimes I'd write letters to myself expressing my disgust in my old behaviour. I find that when I set my mind to it, I can stop something. It may not be for good, but at least I know that I can do it.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
