Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
I am hoping this will help some people. I just recently celebrated my two year anniversary with my now fiance and I am really happy. Trust me I still have depression, but I am coping with it better.
Today marks 34 days I have been clean from self-harm. I am proud of myself and so is my fiance. We are quitting two things together. (trying) I know you can quit self harm, it will always be a battle, but that is what I am calling it. So he has quit smoking and I have quit harming myself. We have both been clean from out habits and it made us closer.
I want to cut myself almost everyday. Even if it is for silly things. I am slowly pulling myself away from pain and trying to look at a brighter future. I am hoping (for those who want to stop) that you all can and be as happy as I am right now.
My next step is telling my parents that I have struggled with self harm for 7 years and I have been clean for a while. Thank you to anyone who reads this and/or responds. I am sending love your way

Im in your boat i stopped in october and then on the 13th i caved because i also wanted to cut everyday and i cant belive im saying this but i hated it honestly after that one last time i have no urge its like anything about cutting that i liked before is just gone, so stay strong you have overcome!
