Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
Secondly, it sounds like you might welcome a few distractions and a few new happy memories to reflect on when the going gets rough. Invite the person who always makes life brighter for you--it may not be someone you know well--and take a day off to do something fun.
Next I don't have anyone that can distract me like that. I have no friends and my family really doesn't understand what is going on. I can't talk to them.
My happy thoughts are few and far between so to find one that works is very difficult.
As for the distractions, you can always listen to music, read, clean, take a walk. Just something to get you out of the house and to take your mind off of cutting.
