Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.

Have you tried using a red marker (if you cut) or wearing a rubber band around your wrist and snapping it? Those are things my therapist told me to do. Might try it.
The thing that really made a difference in my heart and mind was the thought that God loves me. He weeps when I have harmed myself, because He knows the darkness I've lived through. He is a gentle God filled with compassion and He cares about our well being. When I hurt, He is hurting also.
I had to work on my self hatred. I have been in therapy for years now. I've been learning to love myself as God loves me. I had to want to change. I prayed for the willingness to change.
Psalm 51:12 "Restore to me the joy of your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit," has been my prayer and He is meeting me in that. I've learned that if I fix my mind on God, God fixes my mind.
I wish there was some way to help you understand the that there is an end to this madness. Exodus 22:27 says, "when you cry out to God He will hear you, for He is a compassionate God." I hope you come to know Him, truly know him for who He is, He is love and He cares for you!
I will be praying for you!
