Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
About finding a job, can you just wear long sleeves? And those people that threaten you and make you feel like shit and stuff.. can you cut them out of your life? That might be a huge help.
Usually writing stories or just generally distracting myself helps, but if it's really bad I have another trick:
Near where I live is a railroad, there's a spot next to it where no one's around. I run or take my bike there as fast as I can and wait for a train and when it passes me I try to yell over its rattling. Sometimes I yell that I hate whoever upset me (even if I don't really) or just scream as loud as I can (or if I'm trying to cheer up I yell some stupid shit like 'butterflies are evil').
I know, it's weird, but it really helps me. And because of the train no one ever notices or asks what is wrong with me :)
Maybe it works for you too or you'll find some other way to let some of those feelings out.
Believe me, it can get better! Took me a bloody long time, but I did it! Now I just have to stop the picking-scabs-thing, but that's slowly getting better too.
