My advice would be to go see a physical therapist and see what they have to say. They can give you exercises that fit your needs.

That exactly what i did. There are different excercises because your neck has no support, but your back does. You have to get your neck up to par. Usually, if you ask the doctor, he can order physical therapy. It will get u a discount, atleast.

I had to ask the physio. for exercises for my neck, he told me that the muscles in your neck are a little different cant quite remember the word, but they are always working because of the weight of your head, anyway he told me to use resistance. put your hand on your forhead, gently push hold, and release. do the same for the side. If there is now disc problems involved, anymore, you might also want to try laying on your bed, with your head over the side, and do lifts , like head sit ups, lol. my girlfriend clued me into that, she was given that by a rehab trainer. hope this helps a little. wasnt much for me since my discs are still in bad shape I have to wait on that kind of exercise. :) rachel

I just finished physical therapy for my neck. Look straight a head and put your index finger on your chin and gently push your chin in and hold, and release, do this 10 times. Than wrap your right arm over the top of your head and touch your left ear and gently pull your head into your shoulder do this 10 times and than do the same with your left arm. I have colapsed disk in my neck.
