Scleroderma Support Group
Scleroderma is a rare, chronic disease characterized by excessive deposits of collagen. Scleroderma affects the skin, and in more serious cases it can affect the blood vessels and internal organs. The most evident symptom is the hardening of the skin and associated scarring.
I have a strong family history of autoimmune diseases. For about 20 years on and off I've had mild symptoms of tingling hands, muscle weakness and fatigue. I've had leukopenia for about 15 years. Years ago I had a "borderline" ANA. I've had 2 work ups for Multiple Sclerosis. Both MRI's were negative.
Last week I had another ANA. The numbers were 1:1280 with a speckled pattern. The antigens detected were Sm, RNP, SCL-70, SS-A, SS-B.
I feel fine. Just curious if anyone had any idea if these numbers were indicative of any particular leaning of one disease or another.

Do you know what contrast they used for the MRI? I had Omniscan and Magnevist and I'm sick as a dog from them.

They used gladolium (sp?) I didn't have any trouble at all. So sorry you had a bad reaction.

There are several online sites that give info that is helpful in understanding your blood tests results. I don't have them bookmarked, but I usually just " Google" for " lab test results " and there are multiple sites which you can choose from. Maybe that will help you and also you can " google" specific for each of the results that you note. Hope you can find the info that you need.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
