There are too many voices in my head right now and they are trying to destroy me!! I don't know what to do about them. They are telling me to end my life right now and end all of the emotional turmoil that I am inflicting on my spouse.

My boyfriend has schizophrenia. He says not to listen to the voices and don't answer them. Ignore them if you can. Tell your spouse what the voices are saying.

It's important to remember that the voices aren't actual people. They are like people in dreams--personas invented by imagination of your brain. That's why it's a mental health problem and not a social problem.

So sorry you are suffering though.

Hi. In my experience the only thing that will stop the voices is medication. My thing is I can't stop believing stuff, then more beleifs come. ie everyones a alien. I can't stop from believing no matter how much i know its not true. That's how i am off the meds. Hang in there, take it slow, the meds can be a big change to mind, so take it slow , and try to get through it....Feeling for you suffering so much. Good luck! Josh

voices can start being reasonable when you're more flexible with your mind. when u hallucinate give them a once over and remind yourself to let go of your inhibitions and the voices are trying to reassure u and warm u up because they're pretty angels who give out parties

I have bp1 and I been hearing voices since I was 9. Don't listen to these voices. I have one voice that's good and encouraging. Then I have some that are annoying. Tell them you won't do it.

The voices are being disrespectful and mean-spirited. And how do you get away from it? I took Navane, but while I was waiting for it to kick in, my psychiatrist sent me to a psychiatric nurse who advised me to practice mindfulness breathing techniques and sent me to UCLA's mindfulness training.

I tried it, but the meds kicked in before I got the chance to see if I could train my own brain to hold the thoughts.

don't ignore the voices, all of us who are real people who are telling the truth on here know that's impossible. (sorry, I hate liars)

answer the voices. they are mean and tricky and when you answer them with real solid practical truth they recede

evil voices are not stronger than your life force

believe it
