I saw my pdoc today andI told her everything about whats been going on lately she suggested the hospital but I'm a little uncomfortable with that option so she is getting me a case manager to make sure my meds are being taken every morning and night as they havent been in awhile. I'm now taking .5mg risperdal in the morning and .5mg risperdal and geodon at night. I hope this works I have my follow up appt next monday to make sure things have gotten better I just hope the next step isnt into a hospital for my behavior.

You have a lot of wiggle room with the dosage of Risperdal sweetie so try not to get so discouraged. I was once on 14 mg of Risperdal a day and it worked. So just try and take it one moment at a time. I hope this case manager is helpful for you but dont stay out of the hospital if you are still feeling suicidal. Nobody, at least most people, wants to go into the hospital but sometimes it is the only safe haven when we are in a crisis. Take care.

One of my community Pnurses had to always remind me that the hospital is not a punishment if you need it you need it. Risperdal has always worked well with me although hate the side effects. Although I was warned not to go over the 6mg mark when self medicating only on 4mg myself but it may be only in my case.
The hospital can be a possitive experience and you can make lifelong friends in there. It is a time to really look at what you want out of life and reflect on it. Really, it is a time to just have a rest sometimes from yourself.

I always thought the hospitals were terrible. But it sounds pretty positive now that you say it. I thank you guys for the support. If I am no better next week I'll go to the hospital and hopefully get the helpp I need until then I wait

The hospital experience is usually reflected by your state of mind like most things the more you put in the more you get out of it. If you talk to the staff and treat them with common courtesies, they will treat you the same. The pdocs tend to treat you well if you treat them with the old adage of respect for a doc. The staff do like to have fun too.
The main thing is beware if youre a smoker you tend to get asked for smokes a lot. The last time I was in hospital I requested something for each smoke anything like a poem, a picture anything.

It sounds like you have a good plan. Work with your case manager to find a way to make sure you don't miss taking your meds, and I think you will do just fine.
