It's difficult sometimes to even know the truth as my perceptions are blurred. and I think everyone is conspiring against me.
But I do do as you suggest and try to use a bit of logic to cut through the delusions.
Sorry to discourage you on your first day. I hope you stay and I can find so courage.
I do manage to work and have a wonderfully understanding employer. Today I travelled to another town on the train and I was as anxious as can be. I had to keep using logic to get me there as the paranoia was great.
I am constantly using logic which I guess is the same as the "truth".
socrates said seeking truth was the answer but using the filter of the brain how do we know what truth is?
the whole socratic method and scientific method is based on this incorrect principal.
The truth is discovered by accident or revelation when you unearth some ancient culture or some one teaches you how to measure stars.
Belief trumps reality true or false. Some people can't believe their eyes because they didn't expect 'weird event' to happen while others 'see' what isn't happening because they believe it.
I will support your advice in this way: don't believe everthing you think and definitly don't be too hasty in acting out against others. what is logic?

When I feel that people have been sent by the Government to make me harm myself. I use logic.
How much would it cost to pay people to be in certain places at certain times.
And yes, logic is great in talking myself out of my paranoid delusions, like figuring out how logistically it would be very hard for the FBI or the aliens or whomever to pull off these grandiose surveillance schemes I always think they have. Logic and reality checks can really help.
