I keep seeing bugs around my computer screen or desk. I have schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type, and I've been dealing with a little mania lately.I haven't slept but a few hours in several days. I'm new to this group and relatively new to my diagnosis, though issues preceded that. I'm on depakote, abilify, cymbalta, and klonopin, and I feel like the abilify isn't working hard enough as an ap to stop my hallucinations. I keep feeling itchy too, which is scaring me. I normally have auditory hallucinations. This is scaring me. Help.
some bugs are attracted to both the light and the heat of computers.
also if they are biting you, maybe that makes you itchy? also some people get itchy from heat, especially at night...?

I find sleep deprivation aggravates my psychosis, so that could be one thing that's affecting you.
If your hallucinations are that vivid and troubling, it's good to talk to your pdoc about it and get a med change. I tool Ability for bipolar depression, I didn't even know it was an antipsychotic.
You may need a stronger antipsychotic. I take Saphris, it's great, I would definitely recommend it. Puts you right to sleep and tones down the hallucinations to a manageable level. Other good ones are Latuda and Ripserdal
