In the past month of February, I have had a few hallucinatory episodes both auditory and visual. I remember one episode where one night, I thought I heard someone knocking on my bedroom window at midnight. Then I thought I heard voices talking outside or it might of been in my head, I don't know for sure. For visual hallucinations, I remember off and on seeing flashing white lights and shadowy shapes. These hallucinations cause me to feel confused and unsure of what I am seeing and hearing. As far as medication sometimes I am not sure if 20 mg of Abilify is strong enough or working well enough to help my disorganized/paranoid schizophrenia.
My psychiatric nurse has told me before that my medication Abilify can help prevent most hallucinations or delusions. But it cannot take away all my hallucinations and delusions. I understand that my Schizophrenia medication is not perfect. I hope that the medication will help me more in the coming month of March and that I will be feeling better.
