I'm on a massive dose of risperdal I'm now at 7mg and the weight gain is no better neither is the eating. I'm wondering if this may be too much for me right now. Though the side effects are bad it is helping my psychotic symptoms I'm not going through a psychosis anymore and the evil voices I was hearing are now gone and no more visual hallucinations lately, Can't seem to think of anything I've been paranoid about. Though I'm still scared of cameras and mirrors these days. But at 7mg a day I dont know that thats good at such a High dose. Do you think the dose should matter if the psychotic symptoms are gone?
It's a constant battle with most meds to slow the food intake and weight gain. It a common gripe with us all. but there are some meds that don't cause it or may not be a side effect for you.
