I feel the same way. While my two younger brothers thrive at life, all good careers, college grads, family with kids. I am living at home with parents, cant work/on disability, schizophrenic, Makes me very sad.

I feel that way sometimes too. I am married and though my spouse doesn't really understand what schizoaffective feels like, he tries to be empathic. I didn't try to live a normal life - a normal life just sort of fell in my lap and I sort of accepted it. Sometimes I wonder if it's all real or just a dream. It's hard to believe it's real. I have no career I just contribute SSDI to our family.

I feel for you, I really really do.
I have a brother who has this horrible illness and know he feels the same way... I joined this group in the hope of persuading him to get online and perhaps talk with people like yourselves, who know where he's coming from, but due to dyslexia he finds it hard to converse in writing.... I feel much the same way. I feel like roadkill on the information highway. I feel like I got trampled by all the thoughts and changes and overwhelming situations and the jargon and the healthcare system with it's overdosing me.

I lost my brain, my body, my hobbies, my friends, much of my family life, my apartment. Now I don't just have leftovers; my life is partially broken.

Anyways, I know how you feel. Try to think like a survivalist. It helps.

Consider everything you are thankful for and hold on to those and fight for anything that you can get.
