You're right about having to be compassionate and understanding of the other folks. Just like you would if you were in a doctor's office surrounded my ill folks.
As soon as they see any vulnerability or passiveness its like an open invitation to "take over your life"...So going out once in awhile calms the voices..shuts 'em up for a while..but being alone allows certain freedoms and confidence that others won't allow without a constant effort to retain your autonomy...its just one thing that I've noticed about ignorant unlearned outspoken types who attack in group formations.
