I do remember seeing you around, so welcome back. There are other options in payment. Most churches do free counselling sessions. One Tdoc I saw would let me do chores around his property in exchange for his services so some are flexible in that area it's case of asking around.

Diet may help with it but generally I have had little success without working in combination with the meds.

The whole cannabis is a bad idea with schizophrenia. It was a long time ago, while I was hardly a seasoned user and only recreational use it did leave me very paranoid for many days after any use. cannabis use has a way of stopping you dealing with the here and now almost works like a avoidance personality some days and you can see the damage it has done to long term users instantly. I don't use now for many other reasons as well.

While we all go through self punishment sometimes. It's a case of what it is is all in your mind and while we all get frustrated with the meds they can really help and working with some sort of therapy they work best.

There bound to some other option you have missed free clinics etc

I will try and get better with the pills and without cannabis.

I can tell you canabis is not a good idea. It increases my son's paranoya. Hang in there and the suggestion to look for free conseling is a great one.

Cannabis use may not be the best option, take it from me I used to smoke everyday 3 to 4 times a day. From age 17 through 19 I was a complete stoner. A Few months before my 20th birthday I was in a car wreck and suffered severe brain trauma. After I recovered I Still smoked pot every now and then. I was hospitalized for a sudden development of Schizophrenia about 10 months after my wreck. The head injury is theorized to have been what set my symptoms in motion. Anyway, once I got my symptoms under control with my new knowledge of antipsychotic meds, I was sent home. In the following weeks I smoked Cannabis a few times, every one of which caused my Schizophrenia symptoms to resurface. I then did a little research on why it was happening, Schizophrenia is caused by an over saturation of dopamine in the brain, Cannabis causes even more dopamine to be released and can overtake the medication that works by preventing the re-uptake of dopamine by the receptors in the brain. Alcohol and tobacco also increase the brain's dopamine but not to the same extent. Strenuous exercise also causes extra dopamine because it is a natural pain killer that your body produces that causes pleasure, exercise has never made my symptoms come back on me even though chemically all these things work the same way.
