Well , I started having horrible horrible Visuals of people and it wasnt fun , I considered putting myself away for a few days. But ive sobered out no more alcohol or even marijuana. I have how ever been having sex to keep myself occupied its another one of my bad addictions.
My voices were getting fucking unbearable so I'm glad to have somewhat calmed them down. I have started navane this week and its done nothing but make me sleep 24/7 im a little skeptical about it but I'll continue to take it,

It don't sound like it's been fun. Although the sleeping all day might be a good thing as the meds start to work just takes time. Which may help with the libido! Which if you been suffering with the heighten guilt that goes with the aftermath sometimes will be of some relief.

But generally the therapist in me says you don't have a lot of love for yourself ! Drugs alcohol sex which I'm presuming are all to excess. How much of a problem are they for you? Can you get or do need help before they start taking over your life or do more damage?

I have felt no guilt for the excess of sexual activities Ive been involving myself in. Drugs and alcohol however have become a bit much these days. I am aware that I have been extremely depressed for a few months and it may be whats caused the spike in libido and the need for drugs and alcohol.

You can get extremely depressed where you will do anything to get out of that state sometimes. Or you get extremely depressed where you can't do anything to get out of that state. I am actually not seeing my doctor for at least another month and a half even though he knows about all the other symptoms ,,
I am going to try to make a therapy appointment asap !

Eh get anther doc then! If you start on a new med and the doc only sees you every month. It's a bad doc. They should see you every few weeks as you settle in on a new med. Anther entry of mine worth reading http://www.dailystrength.org/people/587001/journal/3739108

I can't believe that at this stage of the game your doc isn't seeing you once a week until you are out crisis mode. A month and half is ridiculous. Does he know how bad things are for you? I have to say I am glad your giving up drinking and pot. Pot is not so great for people with schizophrenia and alcohol is definitely counter indicated. Sex on the other hand can give you a nice high and make you feel connected to yourself and others unless it is an addiction in which case I think it has the opposite effect. Anyway good luck on your new meds and give them a chance and always communicate with the doc.
