Sometimes my voices can be very funny like cracking jokes on people to amuse me. Sometimes they like to call my a sociopath or psychopath depends (on what i dont know). But then there are times where just to scare me they make up these little death. Like I'll be riding in the car with my nephew who is one and they make up a scenario about how he falls out of the car and his head gets repeatedly ran over. Or like me getting shot or tortured by people. They dont have a limit on who the scenario is about they cross the line. So just to show me i dont know how but like it appears in my mind and I see it just how they meant it sometimes it scares the crap out of me but other times I just blow it off and then obsess about it for days and even weeks. I dont know why they taunt me like this maybe to send a message that they own me and can do whatever they want when they want and how they want. I depend on them for amusement at times as well as keeping me sane when I get nervous around people so its probably my fault.

I dont want to speak for everyone but most schizophrenics' voices are mean. There are exceptions always but for the most part hearing voices is not a pleasant thing. I know my voices used to tell me scary things in between making fun of me or telling me what others were thinking. I would get very vivid images in my head that I couldn't get rid of. It almost felt like OCD. You know how some ocd people have to keep checking the door to see if it is locked? Well my voices made sure I kept worrying about what they were telling or showing me in my head. It was obessive and sometimes stopped me from doing what I wanted during the day because of fear. But after hearing voices for over 30 years I have learned to ignore them and have found that nothing they say every really comes to fruition. They are, simply put, liars.

The images are just too real and scary though the things they have told me haven't come true at all it just scares me that they have this hold on me all the time I just wish it wasnt like this. My imaginary friends were nice and they stuck up for me when the bad voices would do stuff like this but since the meds the imaginaries are gone and now its just me and the bad voices. I'm practically defenseless against them because no one can stop them but me.

Once you are at the point where you realize they are not real but rather hallucinations and delusions then their power is taken away. You said you are "practically defenseless against them because no one can stop them but me". That is true. YOU can stop them from having such a hold on you. I know how scary they seem. Anyone would be scared who thought they were real so it all seems to be a case of insight. Just keep telling yourself they are not real that they are just hallucinations. Or yell at them to stop. They are coming from your mind not some other sourch so you do have a lot of power over how much they bother and scare you.

I totally know what you're talking about. I always have these terrifying snapshots that happen in my mind. Like when we were driving home, I pictured my rather getting rammed head on with another car and I imagined the whole funeral and everything. It was very very scary.

But, mine do amuse me at times. I will get caught laughing hysterically at something no one can see or hear... but it's absolutely hilarious. One time my voices said "Tell him that he looks like edward from twilight." and I started cracking up.

It's not your fault. I like the funny ones too. Sometimes I even laugh at the morbid ones... but I sometimes don't know why I do.

The voices in my head are rediculous. They ramble. I do have preminitions. One time I heard myself saying that I was never going to see someone ever again. I was telling them goodbye in my mind. They died in a horrible car wreck two or three hours later. I was hoping I was wrong. I feel guilty to this day for not warning her about that. I don't think I had ever spoken with her. She was my coworker. I cried for months because I believed it was my fault she died.

I suppose you are right plywood I do have a choice of controlling them and when I do figure out how to do it I shall get them back for all that they have done. I just wish they would stay funny all the time they keep me happier that way.
Yeah me too love I have learn to just smile off to the side when they say stuff and i'm in public but if i'm alone I just laugh out loud cause they can get hilarious
Mona I have never had that happen to me I can imagine that would be really very scary for you.

Ive never experienced anything with a plot, but I have seen people as if they were all the sudden dead or bloody. like a snapshot like love was talking about. I never really thought much of it because it was lilke an anger thing, and I felt as if I made myself see it. Does that make sence? I didnt think it was coming from an outside source, it was me seeing it in my head. Not sure thats the same type of thing.

I get what youre saying I see how that could happen out of anger its kinda different in that I feel like my voices cause these scenario clips to pop up in my head.
