Celebrity Schizophrenia???

I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia...i'm on medication and no longer hurt myself, just so we have got that covered. i used to hear mean normal people voices but when that stopped after the medication, i stopped hurting myself.

the only thing that confuses me is, now i still hallucinate one person...and it's someone i like....scarecrow from batman...

he tells me he likes me, and then he umm...does stuff to me....i'm not self-harming because to be honest it doesn't really bother me,

--i'm just confused as to why "he" is doing it...

Does anyone else hallucinate celebrities or get "nice" voices/hallucinations/etc.???

I'm too embarrassed to tell my doctor, so some advice that doesn't involve my doc would be nice. thanks.

i do like "him" but i am just kinda confused....should i just enjoy this or what should i do????

I would tell my pdoc if I were you.. It still would be up to you whether to keep the hallucination. If it is not bothering you or gets worse though you definitely need to tell a professional. I have voices that my pdoc says will never stop unless they come up with a miracle pill which is highly unlikely in my life time. Reason I share this is because I want you to know that you can live with the symptoms if they are not hindering you in life any way. I have made friends with the voices in my head. I don't expect a cure. I am content. It will be a tough choice for me if we do find a med or treatment that actually works. If I absolutely had to choose I would take the new med and get rid of the voices even though they don't bother me.

@braincandy thanks so much for your answer! you made me feel a LOT better. at least i know now i'm not alone. :)

personally, since my mean voices have basically stopped...---i think i might have a tough decision too if there was a miracle cure. i don't know...i might like to keep this lil guy. he seems alright. ^__^
