It's my theory that a lot of mass shootings are angry suicides. Case in point, the recent shooting in Gilroy, CA (not too far from where I live) the only words spoken by the shooter before he was taken down were his response to the question "why are you doing this?" The answer was "because I'm angry".

You're right. Sometimes, they're just angry and wanting to send a message, or inspire copycats aka "start a revolution."..
