Supreme Court Narrowly Favors Beer
In a landmark 5-4 decision today, SCOTUS upheld the rights of mega-brewer Amheitzer-Bushhh against General Eats, maker of "Weedies"-brand cereal, to their trademark "Breakfast of Champions." In his majority opinion, recently appointed Associate Justice "Boof" Kavenaugh remarked that "I like beer," and that the minority opinion was "nothing but a lot of liberal tears."
In her minority dissent, Associate Justice "Notorious" RBG stated that, while the vast majority of Americans do not regard beer as a regular part of a balanced breakfast, "choice is a necessity, in a nation as large and diverse as ours." A finding for the brewer "forces beer down the throat of people who don't want their children exposed to the intoxicating influence of alcohol advertised as nutrition."
Stock prices of Amheitzer-Bushhh jumped 3% on news of the decision, while General Eats' generally went down the toilet
