Profile:
I am recently divorced, 50 and was diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder, BMD (Bipolar Mood Disorder)with psychotic features, OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) and GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder). I am also agoraphobic. I'm on six meds, been in the hospital for almost five months(10 separate occasions), and have no one to talk to often about what is going through my mind and who can really relate since leaving the psychiatric hospital. My family and friends really can't grasp how I feel and how others like me feel and that's why I need to come here and talk about my issues and help others with their problems and concerns.

I joined the group today. The only advice that I can give is to remember that your voice is the loudest and to learn to accept that you are just fine the way you are. Keep your head up. I know that it is cliché but it really does get better with time.

DailyStrength has been a great experience for me so far. Opening up about my fear of people talking about me behind my back and my false belief that my medication is poison is really, really helpful. It's nice to be among supportive people who won't judge me.
