Sarcoidosis Support Group
Sarcoidosis is an immune system disorder characterised by non-necrotising granulomas (small inflammatory nodules). Virtually any organ can be affected, however, granulomas most often appear in the lungs or the lymph nodes. Symptoms can occasionally appear suddenly but more often than not appear gradually.
Have you made any lifestyle changes as far as diet and exercise? My sarc is in my eyes and maintaining an anti inflammatory diet and regular exercise has helped. I'm down to 1mg of prednisone!
As far as sex, there could be some resentment building up making it hard to get in the mood. Women are turned on when we see our men doing things around the house. You have a valid reason for doing less which mean's she has to do more. She's probably tired. I would suggest trying to find ways to give her a break.
Chronic Disease can put a huge stress on a relationship. I think you are moving in the right direction by encouraging counseling. I would make sure that your wife is well educated about Sarc...maybe lead her to some easy to read websites, so she understands the toll it takes on a person, and let her know you understand the toll it takes on her. She may need a support group of her own as well.
That said, marriage counseling is a great first step.
