Sarcoidosis Support Group
Sarcoidosis is an immune system disorder characterised by non-necrotising granulomas (small inflammatory nodules). Virtually any organ can be affected, however, granulomas most often appear in the lungs or the lymph nodes. Symptoms can occasionally appear suddenly but more often than not appear gradually.

Sonny, I have a lesion on the skin of my right eyelid. I haven't seen a dermatologist yet, but after Googling pictures of granulomas, my lesion looks very similar. I think it's going away now though. Have had it for three or four months.
Yours could very well be a Sarcoid granuloma also. Are you going to have it checked out?
I've been having other strange symptoms.Today while snacking on popcorn, my jaws and throat became very weak and tired. I was so
afraid. Will be seeing my PCP on Wednesday and I will surely mention this.
Have a good evening All and blessings to you.
I am sorry to hear of you granuloma on the eyelid. That must be uncomfortable. Mine doesn't look like a typical skin lesion that I've had in the past, this time it is underneath the skin. I think I am going to have to have it checked out b/c it doesn't seem to be going anywhere and a new one popped up the other day. I was hoping to avoid adding a new specialist to my list of Dr's lol!
When you had the problem with your jaw and throat, did you have trouble swallowing at all?
Please keep us posted on how it went at your PCP appt.
All the best,
Sonny
Thanks for your response!
Those little red bumps sound pretty typical of a cutaneous (skin) outbreak of Sarcoidosis. The only way to be sure is to have your treating physician or a Dermatologist take a biopsy or scraping so they can be sent to a lab for confirmation. These outbreaks can last quite some time. Some Dr's prescribe RX meds like Prednisone to help with the flare.
I hope you feel better soon, hang in there!

The sores that look like ingrown hairs sound typical of cutaneous sarc outbreak. You can google "Sarcoidosis Skin Granulomas" and you should be able to get enough pictures to compare and contrast with plenty of images online. I'm not sure what you were referring to on the palm of your hand-the sores, or bumps under the skin like what I have?
Regarding the fatigue, my theory (and I'm no Dr. so take it with a grain of salt!) is that because Sarc is a systemic immune disorder, that takes a toll on so many organs, leaving behind much scarring and damage on vital organs such as the lungs, that even in remission the body has to work much harder to perform after sarc has attacked it. So even in remission, your lungs have scarring, which makes it harder for your lungs to function, which just plain tires you out. Again, that's just my theory : ) You may find you need to get tested for asthma, if breathing becomes a serious issue. Inhalers can make a world of difference if you have developed asthma as a result of Sarc damage.
All the best,
Sonny
Have you been to a Dr yet about the growths/lesions that you have?
