Rosacea is a common but often misunderstood condition that is estimated to affect over 45 million people worldwide. It begins as flushing and redness on the central face and across the cheeks, nose, or forehead but can also affect the neck, chest, scalp or ears.
Hi everyone,
I have been struggling with Rosacea (although I did not know that is what I had at the time) since this past winter. My 19th birthday was right around when my symptoms really increased. When did you all get Rosacea? I have heard that 19 is usually at the beginning of the age spectrum with patients who have rosacea. I was so upset about the burning and redness on my face that I finally decided to go to Clinique at the mall to see if they could suggest something as I could not get in with a dermatologist. It was there that after examining my skink, the sales clerk said I had rosacea. I had never heard of it before but as soon as I got home I looked up the symptoms and realized that most all of them coincided with my facial skin. I wound up buying some of Cliniques redness solutions products. I cannot tell you how much that helped relieve my redness and burning. The cleanser and moisturizer are great! I use the cleanser at night to remove makeup and then apply moisturizer in the morning and before bed. I would be glad to share pictures of the products of anyone is interested. I look forward to hearing from all of you about your rosacea.
