Rosacea Support Group
Rosacea is a common but often misunderstood condition that is estimated to affect over 45 million people worldwide. It begins as flushing and redness on the central face and across the cheeks, nose, or forehead but can also affect the neck, chest, scalp or ears.
and as far as triggers go... er... well..., cold, heat, wind, sun, dancing, running (had a gym teacher make me stop running because i turned so red he thought i was going to pass out!), fever, hot drinks, spicy food (which i love - once when i was at a korean restaurant, the cook came out and, seeing my red face, she said, "OH NO! why didn't you tell me you can't eat hot food?!? i'd make it less spicy for you!" and she forced me to eat some mints from her pocket, thinking they'd cool me down. hehe), and of course wine, which affects me worse than other alcoholic drinks. i actually feel my face turning hot when it flushes red, which reminds me not to have more than one or two drinks during an evening out.
I just started it 2 days ago so will let you know what the results are.
I also started an over the counter product that is called "capillary support serum" made by Devita. I am using the prascion at night and serum during the day.
