Rosacea Support Group
Rosacea is a common but often misunderstood condition that is estimated to affect over 45 million people worldwide. It begins as flushing and redness on the central face and across the cheeks, nose, or forehead but can also affect the neck, chest, scalp or ears.
I've been on Doxycycline (combined with Klaron topical) for about 2 years and it has helped a lot. No side effects, my dermo tells me about 3-5% of people become sensitive to sunlight while on it. Typical dose is 100 mg/day I need 200 mg to really control it. Like topicals, it take a month or two to build up a concentration in the skin, but I started noticing improvement after about 2 weeks. My dermo tells me it is the "tried and true" as far as oral antibiotics go.
