SusieG - I hope your inflammation and pain have settled down some. Do you use compression gloves? For me, combinations of treatments- my sulfasalazine, topicals, heat/cold and compression and my blood pressure medicine helps too. I hope the weather is getting better where you are and that it helps with your pain levels as well.

I have flares that last for months, but the pain seems to shift around, and right now I am having to use my cane in the house more and I adjust whatever chores to match what is able to do cleaning motions that day.

What is the doctor saying?

Thanks for your reply. No changes and the pain has settled in quite well; flare continues and I head off on vacation in 8 days. I see the doc on June 16 after bloodwork next week. I'm glad he ordered a SED rate along with the other stuff. I just don't know if the Kevzara has run its course for working for me. I mean - how long do I suffer to determine if it's a really long flare or the meds not working? I just don't know and would hate to give up on something that HAS been working so far in exchange for a new unknown med.

Sometimes the meds work better in combination The other thing is not stopping your meds because then you might make your flare worse (I did that before). Sometimes it seems like the med is not working, but it may be not working well enough.

Thanks again Linzey. I haven't stopped injecting ever - always hoping I'd feel better afterwards. Also, I've been through most if not all combo meds, but been taken off of them due to the negative side effects shown in bloodwork. I, too, am hopeful that 7 days of ocean, sand and sun will provide the miracle I'm praying for. :)
