I keep seeing everyone recommend new patients to research this or that. Why don't we list our favorite sources to make it easier for them to learn on their own?

Living with Rheumatoid arthritis, 2nd edition ( Johns Hopkins press health book) ISB 0801871476
- I'm sure there's a 3rd edition out now. This book lists all old and new treatment options and medications. For each it lists the side effects and how prevalent and severe they are.
Arthritis RX, Vijay Vad, M.D. ISB 978-1-592-4027-8
- Explains what is occurring in your disease down to the cells. Discusses joint replacements and other surgical options. Goes into yoga, dietary control of inflammation, gives some recipes, discusses supplements and even gives you shopping lists. True, it targets more osteo - but most of its anti-inflamatory food recommendations have since been proven to help RA inflammation in current research.

But, it isn't the only resource I utilize. I find Pubmed to be a good resource as well.

At the beginning I ordered every RA book on amazon. They really were no more help than ourselves, learning by our own mistakes and advise.
