I have heel spurs as well and found out when I developed plantar fascitis. Just some friendly advice.....make sure you have insoles with good arch supports. It will prevent even more pain and help alleviate your ankle pain. It was the best investment I ever made. They even make arch supports for heels!!

I use insoles specifically for plantar fascitis. A company called the orthoticshop.com sells them, but I buy them from Amazon to get quicker, free shipping and a prime discount! These insoles are great for ankle problems because they have a deeper heel in them that stabalizes the entire foot and keeps the ankle and knee in proper alignment.

Those inserts sound great. I know when I walk my ankles/heal roll inward. that has always been a problem and very pronounced in cheaper shoes especially Nike and Sketcher brands. So I can't wear all shoes. Best shoes I ever wore were Danskos! I have 2 pairs of sandals and 2 pairs of clogs. I have also recently discovered jambu shoes. Love them! No roll with those and very little foot pain as far as wearing shoes go. Only problem is clogs aren't the most practical shoes for wearing on construction sites or uneven ground.

Definitely check it out! I have the same exact problem with my feet rolling inward. I think they call that pronation. Avoid the Dr. Scholl's inserts, they are practically useless, as the arch support flattens out easy. Vionic brand makes orthotic shoes that are actually really cute, flip flops, sandals, dress shoes, and sneakers. They are a bit more expensive, but totally worth it.
