What a great attitude!! I try to remember that it could be so much worse! Yes, I have aches and pains but as my dad would say "I'm still warm and above ground!" - Thanks for the encouraging reminder!

That's the spirit, that's how I feel! When you hit a bump in the road, Cuss, cry, scream and move on. Nothing you can do about the bump, so fight it.

Way to go, Lady. I was somewhat worried after your post on the 29th. I played that "why me" game several times during my life and for me it only caused heartache.
I look forward to your comments and hate it when all "my" ladies are feeling poorly. It is truly a struggle for me to understand how to say what I feel. (This sentence is very poorly written). I don't know how to write what I feel when reading "my" ladies problems and I find that deplorable - that a man can not express his feelings. I hope you will both forgive and excuse this old fool's comments

Bravo and Kudos for your wonderful attitude!

Mine has been floundering lately.....but I will never forget when I was hospitalized and in ICU a couple of years ago, and things were quite serious - what my dearest friend said to me....

We have a twisted sense of humor, so I hope this doesn't offend....but anyway, when she came to see me, she had just seen one of those really sad shows on TLC or something that featured a woman who did not have a face.

So she comes in, sits down, and instead of the nurturing, sweet things others had said, she simply said: "Well, at least you have a face."

I don't know that I have ever laughed so hard in my life! It lightened the heavy, scary mood - and put things in perspective in a heartbeat.

I have seen that show, and it is completely heartbreaking, so know that I am NOT making fun of this woman -- what it does for me is put my "suffering" in perspective, big time.

I cannot imagine the suffering some others go through, it humbles me when I ponder it....

There is ALWAYS someone who has it worse, much worse. Sometimes that doesn't cheer me so much, but I'll be forever grateful to my friend for putting my situation in perspective when I was feeling so terribly sorry for myself, and others pitied me or were to frightened to say anything or even come see me....

p.s. Bluedogs, you inspire me - you have brought me a LOT of joy since I've joined this list. You are awesome. You are appreciated. Just know that. : )
