I had a rough time of things growing up and my line of choice was, "Other's have done better after going through worse" Finally, in Chronic Pain Rehab at the Cleveland Clinic I was forced to look at myself and SEE how MY life was AFFECTING ME. Yes, external factors influence us, but if we are pushed to our breaking point, we have to acknowledge that!
After a car accident in 2005, I went to work nearly every day constantly re-injuring myself and not allowing myself to heal for over a year, until I was finally forced to stop working after an unsuccessful surgery.
Have you applied for FMLA? Do you have any disability coverage at work?
I've experienced the same frustration with insurance - i do not understand at all how they can dictate what meds we take or don't take! the frustration is enough to drive anyone to say "forget it" and quit taking anything at all! I'll admit deep down i always pray that i'll get better and not need them and that perhaps it's a sign for me not to be on the meds anyway! But after each round of that, i always find myself in the bed and it's worse each time!
It is wonderful that we can vent here because Lord knows our families do get tired of this!
so hang in there - one day at a time
