Im still waiting to see a rheumy for pain and swelling in multiple areas. Bloods showed high sed rate, high c-reactive protien and anemia but RH factor and ccp test were negative. Ive a history of thyriod problems for which i take thyroxin, and for the past 2 years ive had pulmonary hypertension. Could i have some kind of auto immune problem? someone has also mentioned fibromyalgia on here......im reall lost !!!!!!!!
I certainly hope you don't turn out to have RA, but it is very common to have other autoimmune problems along with RA, including Raynaud's and thyroid problems. I had thyroid problems for many years before my RA symptoms started showing up. I'd encourage you not to get too caught up in the bloodwork, since there's no one test to diagnose RA. Hopefully you will find a good rheumatologist who will do a thorough exam and use that in conjunction with the bloodwork to figure out what's going on.
