I am experiencing swelling and fatigue in my back and legs since 5 years and the problem is still not gone. I am sure it started due to the fact that I lifted some very heavy weights in the gym with a poor form when I was 18. I am 24 now.
The problem never went away, I never recovered. All that time I have battled with this problem through the help of exercise (with light weights), prayers, showing high amount of dedication to studies, supplement usage and good nutrition and I somewhat did well.
I have tried all kinds of doctors,tests and treatments. Blood tests, X-Rays, MRIS all showed normal. I have tried different creams, medicines and injection, but I have never been able to recover fully.
I have seen neurologists, orthopaedics, general practitioner, other specialists, but they can never find a treatment or the exact reason for this problem so that an operation/surgery could be done.
Last I heard was that it is either due a to slipped disc, a problem with the nerve functioning or due to depression in general. My last test was a complete body MRI including brain, beck, back and legs, but it was all normal.
I have completely given up on doctors and treatments and I have decided to battle the illness on my own for the rest of my life by keeping myself busy with other things. Before it was easy, now it is getting tough as I am growing up and have many other responsibilities to take care of.
All I want to know is it really arthritis? Is it a broken bone or a nerve? Is it just depression? I just want to find out the exact problem so I can keep on finding new ways to battle this problem over the internet.

Yeah I have done many blood and urine tests, but they all showed normal.
Doctors and me myself can never find out whether it is in the bones, nerves, muscles or joints.
The best thing I heard from a orthopedic in London was that it is due to a slipped disc as I had other problems like 'frequent urge to urinate' as well in the first 2-3 years of this illness.
Another doctor in my country examined my X-Ray and said that the whole leg bone is slightly twisted due to all the heavy exercise. The only cure he told me for this problem was physiotherapy.
However, anti=depressants, and some more than other, can help you deal with constant pain, and help block some of it.
