I'm going to sit by the river with blankets, lawn chairs, cooler, and snacks and toys. I am worried about how to get all my stuff to my spot. I will be meeting my kids there and I'm not sure how this is going to turn out. Also I have shingles on my face again, so I am going to wear my blue floppy hat I found at a yard sale for protection (it is pretty and I really like it). Nervous/excited! I'll probably be in a lot of pain tomorrow and I'm trying not to think about that right now.

MBDs2 and I are going to stay at home. She will work in her studio and I will sit in my chair reading my latest find at the 1/2 Price Book Store. We'll enjoy iced coffee and I will cook supper.

Quiet time for us and best of all, together time.

Hubby is working until 5 and after that I'm not sure. We can watch the fireworks from our front yard. I think i might make a Frito pie. Tomorrow i hope we get to go downtown and go thru the antique shops and boutiques and thrift stores....

We will hang out with our next door neighbors. (Our daughter and her family, Babies 6 and 3). BBQ and help the kids with their fireworks. I will just have to sit back and watch. The kids get so excited they are as entertaining as the fireworks.

This is a good question twyliah. I was thinking about throwing it out there then got busy. I actually am already tired and in pain. My legs ache. I tried to do too much. I did a little weeding in the front yard and watered the front and back. I also am caring for my mom who has Alzheimer's today and needs total care. I am helping my son cook. He is just putting the chicken that he seasoned on the grill. I made an apple/ peach/ mango/ and blue berry pie and Two sweet potato peach pies. One to take to work tomorrow. Yep my legs are tired and hurt, and the knee where I received the Synvisc hurts a lot. Am lying down in bed with legs elevated. All in all I am just glad to be off today.

Christine, it sounds like you need a day off after your day off!

Hubby and I are packing a picnic lunch and going to an outdoor amphitheater to attend a concert, which will end with a fireworks display. It's quite a walk from the parking lot to our seats, so we'll arrive early to make sure we have lots of time to mosey up the hill.

I started the day giving myself a shot of Cimzia in my stomach. There is a music camp a few miles away. The instructors put on a really nice 4rth of July concert this afternoon. Tried to do some weeding in my flower beds, but the bugs were awful. All in all, a relaxing day.

Well, I went to the river with my family and had a nice time listening to music and watching fireworks. My shingles weren't very noticeable, it was a little cooler than usual this year (which is good for the osteo and the RA), and my nephew, sister, and daughter's boyfriend carried things for me. It was very nice. I am tired but not overly so. The kiddos enjoyed the blankets I brought to spread out and the snacks I brought. It was a success!

Hi Twyliah, sounds like you had a good time. I have gone a few years ago to see the fireworks in the town next to mine with Mama. This year Uh Uh. No way. My knee was hurting so bad this evening all I could do was ice elevate and pain meds. My shoulders and back were heurting as well. I had to take a Percocet as the Nucenta was not holding me and I don't even have many left as I must do mail order and they are slow.
debRAinOC you are so correct. I do need a vacation day after this day off. Forgot to mention my neck hurts too. But I need to go in tomorrow. I have to use my days sparingly as with MD appts., IV infusions and days I just don't feel wel leat my days up quickly. BYW I love your avitar. I have three cats all Tuxedo that look like yours.

Christine, I am so sorry you are in pain. I hope you get in to the doc pronto and get some relief so that you can feel better. I am wishing you pain-free days ahead!
