Hi everyone. I am new here and had posted Sunday asking for advice because I was so scared of getting a dx of RA. Well, I went to my Rheumy and was told I have the beginnings of RA. I was put on plaquenil and prednisone. Will just have to wait and see. I want to thank RASally, trishcorsi, camba, tamiangus, and bluedogs 2 for such kind comments, suggestions and advice. I really needed it and truly thank you for it. I think this is a wonderful forum and so glad I found it. Thanks so much.

Having a place, like this forum, to ask questions or express my fears and frustrations has made a huge difference in my life. So I am with you kiddo!

It took a while for the Plaquenil to work for me but I felt like a brand new person once it did.

Hope that you get relief very soon!

Melinda, if you were going to develop RA, better now than even a few years ago. There are many more treatment options available out there than ever before. Chances are good that you will be able to slow the disease down. Do you like and trust your rheumatologist so far?

Thank you nerot for your encouragement it means a lot to me. And yes, altoclef, so far I do like and trust my rheumatologist. If I have to face this disease at least I have this wonderful support group!

Melinda56.. wishing you all the peace ,faith and strength .. please start taking notes and being aware of what your body is telling you ..and dont be afraid to tell your doctor everything evern if you feel like its not believable to have a list of issues ..tell him anyways ..and you dont know this yet ..but you might have a mild form and god willing it stays that way .i heard a good story yetsterday .... and it had a happy ending so the story came from a 72 yr old who has RA ..so it perked me up some..sooooo keep your chin up and gods speed .
