I know the ladies will understand why I'm happy about this. (Wait a sec - based on the photos Doug showed us recently, maybe some of the men will appreciate this too, LOL!) I've been feeling pretty good lately, so when I was getting dressed this afternoon, I decided to see whether I could put on my bra the traditional way - you know, reach behind my back to attach the hooks (rather than hook it in front and then spin it around). It wasn't easy, but I did it! I can hardly believe it. I couldn't quite maneuver my hand to grab one side, so I had to bend my body to the right, but it's still a victory! Woo-hoo!

Wednesday I dropped back on my pred, which causes my body to protest and feel so fatigued. Mommy had an appointment and went shopping, which left me and the boy to fend for ourselves. Being a man, and feeling like an anvil was around my neck, wathching an 11 month old all night was a challenge. We made it and had so much fun - my victory. (Did I say I got dishes and laundry done at the same time??? Well, I did. He loves the dryer, btw! NO! I didn't run it with him in there. I just closed the door so I could get some stuff done! NOT REALLY!!!!!! lol).
We often forget to celebrate those little moments of victory.
I have lots going on in my life beyond the RA and everyday I find myself crying everydayk, off and on all day, and want to run away. I can't "fix" everything for all of the people I love and it's killing me.
However, this morning I haven't cried yet. And I found this wonderful short video...it touched my heart. That's my victory.

Usually can't stand on one foot and prop the other up on the edge of the tub without falling and hurting myself so I use that nasty smelling Nair stuff. But not last nite.

They're not huge yet. But the less pred I take the hungrier I get - weird. I just need to stop getting old and get out and MOVE more. I think maybe a training bra might be a good first step, till I get younger and more fit I mean!
Try a water bra my oldest daughter used one until she had her first child and in her words "finally grew some"

Lynne, that is hillarious (now)! It reminds me of an old "Herman" cartoon (maybe you guys don't know Herman - it was a single frame newspaper cartoon with this old guy with glasses and a big nose ... anyway), he's standing in the Drug Store, when his wife yells back to him "How much are these Exlax!?"
Yesterday, I hiked 4.7 miles, from elevation 7000 feet to 10,500 feet, and I felt good enough to come back, for a total of 9.5 bone crushing, muscle cramping miles. Hopefully, this is just a start, but I feel pretty good for getting there.
