Walked too much

I took my granddaughter to a large historic property yesterday and we ended up walking way more than I ever intended. After a couple of hours (possibly more), I could barely walk anymore. I felt this terrible tightness on the outside of both of my hips. I've never felt that before. I have had joint pain in my hips about 30 years ago from RA, so I would have recognized that pain, but I've never had this terrible tightness on the outside area of my hips.

Has anyone else here experienced that? It still hurts for me to walk today.

Heck I can't even walk through Wal-Mart.......I would never make it for a couple hours - a couple minutes and I am done.

Yea, that was me last year. I couldn't really walk anywhere. I gained 20 lbs too. So far, Enbrel has given me back my mobility (to an extent).

It is a common issue these days. I would like to suggest you to visit the doctors at at OrthoTexas,Frisco. They are quite effective.

I have been having dreadful hip issues the latest greatest is he thinks it is sciatica maybe that? I hope not.

Don't forget that hip bursitis is very common with RA patients. I have to get injected periodically for this issue.

I am amazed that you were able to walk as you did. Sometimes when I overdo it - I can barely walk for a few days. Watch doing too much.

Might want to visit the doctor on this one.

what a treasure to have a granddaughter. she will probably never forget the time you spent together. it makes the pain more tolerable for me if I know I am sacrificing it up for someone other than myself. that walking in NYC for my daughter's college graduation was barbaric but what are you going to do?

i had the guided deep injection crap on both sides at the "pain management" place. it did not do much. maybe it would work for you ask about it.

what was the historic property like?

Yes, I know the feeling. A hot bath helps with the pain.

Thanks for the comments and concern. I will research all of the suggestions you made. Depot, the historic property was where one of the Presidents lived. It was very beautiful with wide open fields, huge lush lawns, a mansion, and horses. The dcor was all original.

As for this hamstring thing, it is still giving me a lot of trouble, but I have had this last 4-6 months in the past, and that was from walking too much too. Thanks again for all of the suggestions. I will definitely check into all of them!
