my daughter wore a rigid boston body torso brace 24/7 from age 11 through 2 years past the first period which was kind of wicked later on in adolescence so a good long time she had that thing on. so long that we made four of them during the treatment period
she found it was comfortable (seriously). the scoliosis was so bad that she was more comfortable. she did everything in it but ski, bike ride or horses or jumping or ice skating (you can't rotate your torso if you fall). she would tell me that it gave her comfort - she even wore it sleeping. she was an inspiration to the entire family - (frankly she put us all to shame :) because actually you aint wearing no stylin' young kid pre teen clothing with a rigid torso brace on - so her entire wardrobe consisted of teeny tiny yoga pants and too big shirts on a waif of a girl. it screws with your eating also because the brace presses on the stomach. you eat too little but frequently.
I hope your brace gives you physical comfort also.
