Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. The disease is also systemic in that it often also affects many extra-articular tissues throughout the body including the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs, and...
Very fatigued today and probably headed for a nap. D%$m this disease and what it robs us of.
On a scale from one to ten [and you don't have to answer this here.....just to yourself]:
1. What was the most stressful thing you've ever endured?
2. Did you get over it?
3. What number would you assign the stress of the Humira needle?
Look at it that way.
This post was about "have you experienced fatigue the day after".
That was my experience. Was just trying to see if other people experience this as well. Definitely could have had residual stress to deal with...but I was surprised by the amount of brain fog and fatigue I felt the next day. That said...when your immune system gets hit with a cold or flu, you feel like you've been hit by a bus...and that's what my experience was.
Again, no worries about the needle that I can tell. I know how to do that now. But that next day...
SO I moved it to Friday nights instead of Thursdays. I already have some effect from MTX that I take on Thursdays within 36 hours (so...Saturday morning) and I am on electric guitar this Sunday, so I am making sure I have time to adjust on Saturday.
But...I feel better, generally. I overdid it on Saturday shoveling out my driveway, and had some low back pain Sunday and today. But I had the energy to get out of the house and help my wife shovel the driveway. That's a major improvement.
I suspect brain fog is more about the RA than the drugs that treat it.
Low back pain - chalk that one off to shoveling snow.
