There's some research that indicates that black pepper and turmeric work synergistically. I don't know if the combination of cayenne and turmeric work the same way.
I do sometimes use ginger tea if my stomach is upset. It seems to sooth it, although it may be in my head. It does nothing for my RA, at all.
Please take the meds as prescribed. This is much too serious a disease, to play around with herbs and stuff, and trite cures.
I do many of those things as well. They are most helpful:
yoga / gentle and limited
essential oils
massage therapy
reiki
days of rest in bed with movies and the computer
eat well most of the time
spiritual readings
magnesium / vitamins / herbs
medication / supplements
play my ukulele
sew / quilt on machine
color
watch film noir on youtube
lots of sore muscle rub
daydream
meditation / hyponosis therapy
we do what we have to do
