I really hope you get some relief and feel better soon. It is so awful what this disease does to us but glad you have someone that understands you nearby. Could you try eating raw garlic to help kill the strep throat? Take care.

So many people don't understand just how stressful living this beast is in itself, for exactly the reason you stated. You get so sick of being sick. Add life onto it, and it's a wonder how any of us hold it together!

One of the worst things about the meds is the side affects that make you have to take other meds to combat the side affects. I am on Humira and mthx, and the Humira has caused me to have chronic sinus issues for which I have to take a nasal steroid for every day. Currently I am battling either a sinus issue or a cold in spite of the meds and have an awful sore throat and a cough. I commiserate with you as you struggle against the RA and an illness. Last night I took a sleeping pill, as I had not slept in two days because of the illness. i hope your pain pill worked and you were able to get some much needed rest.

Here is my day yesterday. I got up at 5:30 with the wife. She had to go to work, I had to drive 95 miles (each way) to Wichita Ks to the Cardiologist to get my heart halter monitor. Got there at 8:30, after 3 attempts to get one attached that worked I was finally good to go. This took an hour and a half not the 15 min I was told on the phone, plus I had to fill out a ton of paperwork. Now back in the car and race back to Hutchinson Ks for my Remicade infusion for which I was over an hour late getting started. They still got me in and I finished up around 2PM. By now I'm pooped and just decided to head for home and skip the rheumy appt., we didn't have much to talk about anyway, I checked my blood work myself and everything looked good.Got home at 3PM, laid down and Norma woke me up at 7PM to eat. Love my wife!! Not my life. Now today I get to go back to work, tired.
As for the strep, call the rheumy and have him get you on antibiotics. Mine will call in just about anything I need for me without having me drive in. Good Luck, Charlie

Thank guys...and gals! You really made my day! I'm going back to the Doctor. The antibiodic just isn't working and I woke up this morning barely able to swallow with a major headache! I'm allergic to penicilliun so it makes it harder to find the right one.
Eliabeth...so sorry you have to deal with that chronic stuff...don't know how you do it! I had to take a pain pill just for my throat last night!
