thanks for keeping this going - sometimes when I feel like I'm having a crappy day, reading about others' victories lifts my spirits as well as remind me to rethink my day and recognize my little victories.

I survived a biopsy on the carotid artery in my right temple on Tuesday, a colonoscopy on Wednesday and got dressed on Thursday and did a little dance when no one was looking, lol.

Wow! I got nuthin' (compared to these). But I guess it;s about comparing to ourselves and worse days, right.

It was a victory for me to finish a tiring day at work, picking up the boy, eating and heading right out to drive my old truck to it's new owner an hour away and pick up a tv.,vcr, and dvd for the rental house, then stay up for the 10 year old to get home with her grandparents. It's funny, that used to be a normal day ... before RA.

I agree - this is good. I like positive! Thanks.

Oh Bistro, the last thing I would want to do is compare myself to others - although sometimes that is exactly what I do, lol. That's definitely a no-win situation - at least for me and the beastRA! So I guess we should add to our accomplishments, "reigning in the negativity" at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it... ROTFLMIMVR (rolling on the floor laughing metaphorically in my virtual reality - say that 5 times fast, lol)

hmm...victories for thursday...was finally able to get out of bed, finally showered and dressed. drove to dr off to drop off paperwork, then back home. was able to do dishes, and cook dinner. for thursday, those were major accomplishments!

not much compared to the life i used to live, but compared to the me now, that was great!

Now this is going to sound weird for a victory, but I attended a funeral at my church (the husband of the lady I sit in front of every Sunday). Now funerals are not my favs, but it was nice to bake a cake, dress up, help in the kitchen and attend the funeral all in the same day. That I could do it was a victory!

I'm glad everyone enjoys this series of posts. Sure, some days we will feel like we don't have any major victories, but the point is that any day we can accomplish anything, great or small, despite the RA, is a victory in my books. This little exercise just helps one to reflect on the days' events and realize it! ~ Kim

Hi Everyone, I've been not on line for almost 2 weeks. I came back from vacation late today and the week before vacation I worked late every day - 2 days until 10 pm, give or take a few minutes! And my victory is this: I didn't collapse after working probably 15 extra hours in a week, and we went to Las Vegas and I was able to keep up with my husband and the walking we had to do! Yeah! I was very pleased. I'm just catching up with all the posts and discussion listings. Hope you are all having some good days. Dottie
