Couple of other things:
1. I've had fibromayalgia for years, and I get muscle pains in my thighs. Massage works well.
2. I also have some hip issues, specifically a torn labrum in my right hip joint. This refers pain that travels from the inguinal region down my thigh.
3. As a first line of evaluation, I would try some back and hip stretches, possibly massage, and see if you get relief.

I am not sure if my diagnosis is correct but I have trouble with my hips, thighs, and hands. Occasionaly lower back.
