After having problems putting weight on my ankles, my old physician that I am back seeing, wants to see me now instead of in 2 weeks. I seen him 2 weeks ago. He is so awesome. My husband went back with me and when we left he smiled at me and said, " This is who you have been needing for 2 years."
He wrote me a prescription for a handy cap parking permit. He plans on taking me off tramadol and putting me on loratab once he receives all my test results from the research I am in. Oh yeah, he called the research ofc right there in the room. He took me off neproxen and put me on voltaren pills and gel. He also put me back on a low dose of prednizone. He truly cares about his patients.
He has agreed to assist me in getting approved for disability.
That leads me to another thing. I was declined on disability again.I received the denial the day after my nieces funeral, what timing. I have terminated my lawyer and consulted with a new lawyer. She use to be a RA nurse and came highly recommended. She is awesome : ) She wants to go with me to get an infusion and talk with the nurse that takes care of me in the research. I called her after leaving the doctor and she said she would call him and see about an appt. to see him in person.
Where were both of them a year ago?
I don't really have to ask because I know there was obstacles in my life standing in the way. As I removed these obstacles I seen things coming together. If I had listened to the Lord a year ago I know I would already be drawing disability. It will happen I just have to keep patience and faith. But I wanted to say that there is good and caring doctors and lawyers out there. Hugs, Terri

If I could just find a doctor who was diabetic and had RA, that would be the ticket because they would understand just what the average day is like for us. It sure "ain't no picnic." Until then, we will just keep searching until we find the doctor that truly cares about his patients. They are out there but it is getting harder and harder to find them. You can probably tell that I am having a bad day. Hard to walk from one room to the other from pain in legs and feet. RA and sciatica.
I sure am glad that you ladies are finally getting somewhere with your disability claims. I retired before I was diagnosed with RA. Now I know why those last 2 years on the job were so hard on me.
