I read "The First Year: RA An Essential Guide for the Newly Diagnosed" by M.E.A.McNeil", a book that has been discussed before on this forum. I found it has a lot of information, but it was too rah-rah for me. Since there is so little known about RA, I guess there wasn't enough to fill a book, so it had to be padded with Oprah-like optimism. Now, don't jump on me for saying this, but with the Internet and groups like DS, the information is more current and accessible without paying for the book. I'm going to give my copy to the Orlando library since they don't have one. Maybe others will find some help and solace from it.
