This year my goal was to get back into endurance riding competition (marathon horse racing)- as I was forced out of it during my superflare of '09. Although I've been in remission since Jan 2013 - I still deal with residual issues (stress fractures, weak grip, etc) from that flare and the years on prednisone because of it.

So I did a 25 miler in April... A fifty miler in August.. But 'real' endurance is 75-100 milers. Which I could never get up to back in '05-08 because of moderate RA. So this Friday & Saturday I will attempt a multi day 75 (25 Friday and 50 Saturday)

My students are betting that I won't be sitting down much next week:)

Reading what you are committed to made me a little anxious, but you can do it! Take it easy on yourself....you might need a full blown day off to recover. LOL (more like a month was it me)

I survived. Barely....... My big horse stepped on my big toe on Friday. Couldn't walk that night it hurt so much! Then I woke up to 1/2" of snow on Sat. Really hard talking myself into not cancelling the fifty miles. But since I'd already paid entry - did it. Survived it!

Not half as sore as I was back doing just fifties in '05-08. Except for toe.... Hahaha! Needed new toenail anyways!
