I don't think I'd try it. There are warnings against taking it if you've had a reaction to sulfa meds or even aspirin.

I wonder why it's call "sulfa"salizine if it doesn't have much "sulfa" in it.

Thanks for the quick response! My Rhemy said it's because the drug has changed over the years, and they just haven't changed the name of the drug. I haven't had sulfa since I was an infant, and my mother said that I broke out in hives at that time.

You might have outgrown your allergy then. If you try it just be aware of any reaction symptoms...and have benedryl on hand! LOL

When I tried it within a short time my ears began yo swell get very hot and extremely painful. My dr said stop it imidiatly I was a few doses away from having possible anaphylactic shock. I get that with codine it is scary. Any way nie my pharmacists won't even suggest that I take the glucosamine that has some sulfa in it. So be very careful
